Love Yourself-The True Beauty Within

Do you compare yourself to others around you or to people you see on social media? What is the importance of self love anyway? Well, today many of us are so attached to what’s on the outside (our looks) that we forget to care about what’s on the inside (the soul). Our body is just a shell that we will shed when we leave this experience, but our soul is eternal.

What Causes So Many to Lose Self Love:

Social media can play a big role in the way someone perceives themselves. Scrolling through pictures all day you come across flawless pictures of men and women who seem so perfect. Perfect body, perfect hair, perfect skin. The reality is that no one is perfect. Many of these pictures are photoshopped to enhance the image. I’m NOT trying to put anyone down, but the point I’m trying to make here is not to compare YOURSELF to anyone and put yourself down for not looking a certain way. Photos can be manipulated to deceive the eye. What you have to understand is that no one is perfect and what truly matters is who YOU are on the inside. Are you someone who is caring, loving, giving, supportive, a good spouse, a good parent, a good friend? Can you become better in any of these areas? If so, then that should be your Primary focus before you focus on changing what’s on the outside. You can change your looks and body and be the most beautiful being on the planet and still be so ugly within.

Forget the Outer Shell:

We have to stop being obsessed on looks and learn how to improve the inside first by becoming a better version of ourselves everyday. A lot of authenticity is missing today by trying to fit in to all the new trends, looks, and styles. We should not put focus on pleasing others to get attention or recognition, but instead focus on accepting who YOU are already and loving yourself no matter what. Put your focus on always becoming better, helping others, and making a difference in the world. We all have a purpose here in this life, what do you feel is yours? Is it to help, heal, spread knowledge? When you start to really dive deep within yourself, the outer shell is no longer of importance.

When it’s NOT selfish to change your outer appearance to improve self love:

There may be a time when you might have put on a few extra pounds and that can make you feel down about your self image. Never put yourself down, but acknowledge and accept who you are at that moment, and continue to love yourself and never feel guilt, shame or anger. Learn from the experience and let that mold you into something greater. Focus on getting healthy to regain your happiness so you can start to love yourself again. Motivate yourself to get up early and go for a run or walk or go to the gym and start eating a healthier nutritious diet. With consistency you will get results. The things we put focus on GROWS more into our lives. If you start to envision yourself already at your goal weight and wearing those nice tight jeans, you will see how fast you will manifest it into your life.

Diving Deep Within:

If you want to change something within, put forth the law of action. Get connected back to your inner soul by spending time in nature, eating healthy, exercising, spending time with people that make you feel good, reading books, meditating, being grateful for what you have, listening to good music and always wanting to learn and grow as a person. Always strive to become a better version of you everyday. True beauty shines from within, and radiates out. Think about someone who enters a room full of positive energy. As soon as they walk in they are radiating that energy to everyone in that room. You can feel it, you are drawn to it, and that my friend is exactly where true beauty lies.

Until next time,

Im wishing all of you good health, happiness, and love.
